1. Who you are buying from
You are buying from Markpath Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17523046), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us at enquiries@markpath.consulting.
Our ebooks are sold through Payhip, where our store appears as “Markpath Technical Library”. Payhip processes your payment on our behalf.
2. What you are buying
Our ebooks are supplied as PDF files for download. No physical product is sent.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. They include VAT where it applies. You pay in full at checkout. The contract between us is formed when you receive the order confirmation email.
4. Delivery
After payment you receive an email with a download link. If it has not arrived within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact us.
5. Your licence
When you buy an ebook, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it and to share and use it within your own organisation, meaning the business that bought it. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the file or substantial parts of it, share it outside your organisation, or remove copyright notices. Copyright stays with the authors.
If you want to share an ebook with customers, suppliers or other companies, contact us first.
6. Refunds and cancellation
Our ebooks are delivered as an immediate download. At checkout we ask you to agree that the download starts straight away, and to acknowledge that you then lose your 14-day right to cancel. Once the download has started, you cannot cancel the order or get a refund because you have changed your mind.
If a file is faulty, will not open or is not as described, tell us and we will send a working copy or refund you. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
7. What the ebooks are and are not
The ebooks contain general technical information and our professional opinions, based on our experience. They do not take account of your specific products, production line or site. They are not a substitute for an assessment of your own situation or for the instructions of your equipment supplier.
We do not guarantee any particular result, cost saving or regulatory outcome from following them.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and for fraud. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, and these terms do not affect them.
If you buy as a business, our total liability in connection with an ebook is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of production, downtime or indirect loss.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
