2. What we collect and why

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

When you buy an ebook

Our ebooks are sold through Payhip (payhip.com). Payhip and its payment providers process your payment. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email address, country and order details so that we can deliver the ebook, provide support and keep the records the law requires. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations for tax and accounting. Payhip’s own privacy policy applies to the checkout.

When you visit this website

Our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request in server logs. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

3. Cookies

We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work as you expect:

We do not set analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Payhip and IONOS process data in the UK or the European Union. UK law recognises the EU as providing adequate protection for personal data.

If any other provider processes personal data outside the UK or the European Union, we use an approved safeguard, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

6. How long we keep data

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive it in a portable format.
